Road Safety Education - Week 3 Task (Child Passenger Safety)
I’m sure you will have noticed the volume of traffic increasing as on our roads over the past number of weeks as the restrictions re: COVID-19 have been easing. This increase brings with it added risk to all road users and it is important that we all play our part to reduce the number of deaths and serious injuries. This week, the theme is passenger safety and the aim is that parents will use the opportunity to check the height of their children, what child seats are in current use, whether they are suitable and of course if the seats are fitted correctly. There is also a worksheet (one for 4-7 years and one for 8-11 years) which can be used to reinforce the learning for the child but are not intended to be used in isolation.
